Could You Have a Spiritual Attachment? Here's How to Find Out & What to Do

Dear Kindred Spirit,

There is a hidden truth that echoes through the halls of every ancient temple, whispers from the edges of dreams, and lives in the crevices of our unhealed pain: spiritual attachments are real—and far more common than you might think. Anecdotally, I’d say that 8/10 clients that I see have some sort of entity attachment that is affecting them in some way.

Whether you’re a healer, an empath, a mystic, or someone simply seeking peace and clarity, understanding the nature of spiritual and esoteric attachments could be the key to reclaiming your energy, peace, and sovereignty.

👻 What Are Spiritual Attachments?

In esoteric traditions across the world, attachments are non-physical entities that bind themselves to the human aura, emotional field, or energetic body. They feed on energy—often pain, fear, anger, or confusion—and can linger for days, years, or even lifetimes. If the attachment is an earth-bound entity, you may find that the entity’s feelings, and even the way they died is projecting on to your thoughts, your feelings, your body.

Contrary to Hollyweird’s (Hollywood) horror tropes, spiritual attachments aren't always malevolent. Some are simply lost, confused, or seeking resolution. Others are darker, predatory, and work to drain your life force or derail your spiritual evolution.

☁️ How Attachments Happen: The Vulnerability Window

Attachments exploit weakened auric fields—emotional trauma, energy fragmentation, and altered states of consciousness create the perfect environment.

Common risk factors include:

• Unhealed trauma: Emotional wounds act like magnets.

• Alcohol, drugs & anaesthetics: These lower your vibration and disconnect your protective spiritual field.

• Low-frequency states: Chronic fear, anger, jealousy, or depression.

• Transition zones: Hospitals, battlefields, funerals. Spirits linger when death is unexpected or feared.

• Religious indoctrination: Beliefs about unworthiness or eternal damnation can trap spirits in limbo.

  
  

Earthbound Spirits & How to Help Them Cross

Earthbound spirits are souls that haven’t transitioned home to Source Creator of all or indeed if they choose – to go home to the planet or dimension they are able to access. These entities may not even know they’re dead. Others refuse to cross due to guilt, confusion, or fear.

Through hypnotherapy, meditation, and remote viewing, we can discover:

• Why the spirit remains

• How it’s been making the client feel.

• When & why it attached

• What it needs for peace

• How to guide it home

This is sacred work—psychopomp in ancient terms—and requires reverence, clarity, and protection.

Angels, Daemons & The Blurred Lines of Spirit

We’ve been taught to divide entities neatly into good and evil — but the truth is far more nuanced.

Christian theology casts angels as purely divine (apart from the fallen ones) and daemons as evil. However, in older Jewish, Islamic, and Pagan traditions, angels are seen as powerful intelligences with the capacity for both benevolence and wrath. 

In sessions, clients have revealed archangels attached to them who caused confusion, depression, and energetic dependency, blocking their spiritual progress. You can’t imagine the extent of my shock when these entities spoke their name. These "archangels" were found listed in demonology texts under traits that matched their manipulative, lazy behaviour. As a spiritual worker it serves me well to keep an open mind. Many witchcraft books talk of the ‘wrath of the angels’, how an angel can be invoked in order to control a demon to do baneful bidding, to hurt, to destroy another. We don’t have to look any further than dark occultist Alistair Crowley or John Dee who was said to practice lewd and vain magic and who both worked closely with angels. I’m sure there are many, many other examples, but my point is - are all angels truly good - should people on a spiritual path be calling or invoking such energies if the source of character reference is controlled religion? 

There are plenty of other books that talk about the angels as an ancient alien race, some suggest part of an ancient beetle race, and a race that is in ‘fall’, rather than ascension; therefore needing to feed off the loosh energy of humans. They are spoken of as a collective species in many books rather than an individual angel on a pedestal. Are they of team light or dark, or might they be double agents actually preventing ascension?? Who knows?

Could our cultural programming be blinding us to the truth?

Daemons, Djinn, Fae & Other Misunderstood Spirits

From Greek daimonion, meaning guiding spirit. Socrates had one that he heard - by all intents and purposes was a guiding voice, never forceful, but a voice that he felt led him down the correct path and out of trouble. Many were protectors or inspirers, later demonized by Christian doctrine. Just like angels, there are those with good attributes and there are those with bad attributes. It serves to keep on open mind, does it not?

🔥 Djinn

Ancient beings made from smokeless fire. They are found in Arabic and Islamic tradition, they can bless or curse, guard or torment. Shapeshifters with their own agendas. They do most of their activities at night where they can often torment their target. It’s worth knowing that Djinn hate salt, and fear iron and steel – an easy yet effective repellent.

🌿 The Fae

I love the fae and have great respect for the fae and other elementals alike. However, not all Fae are friendly. While some protect forests and gardens, others defend ancient land and ley lines with ruthless power. The Queen of the Fae, often called Titania or the Morrigan, commands entire courts of elemental spirits. Tread lightly wonderer should you walk through their forest. 

💀 Incubi, Succubi & Multi-Spirit Attachments

Incubi (male) and Succubi (female) are sexual spirits that feed on your life force. Often disguised as dream lovers or obsessive thoughts, they drain your vitality over time. We often find these if someone has low frequency of sadness, loneliness. The key here is to raise your frequency up as much as possible, so that you are no longer a vibrational match. 

Then there is syncretism — when one spirit is nested within another. A false guide may host a darker force within it, creating a chain of command. Clearing one entity isn't always enough. The web must be untangled.

Baneful Magic, Hexes, Curses & Bindings

Baneful magic is intentional or unconscious harm through energy manipulation. It includes:

• Hexes: Directed spells or intentions

• Curses: Long-lasting negative energy, often generational

• Bindings: Designed to restrict power or will

• 
  

The former controllers of the world (the Bavarian mafia) have long used black magic and continue to this day in order to harvest loosh — emotional pain and fear energy- pulling it straight into the phantom matrix for their own personal use. From ancient blood rites to modern trauma cycles, these rituals are disguised as religion, war, and politics.

Even in daily life, people curse others through envy, rage, or manipulation—sometimes without knowing. But there is more:

We are living thousands of lives simultaneously. If a version of you crossed a magician in what we perceive as the 14th century, an energetic curse could still be active — affecting your health, relationships, or entire bloodline.
